Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3

If you are in a position of responsibility within the care industry, and have finished an NVQ in care at level 2 then an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social care is for you. 
Depending on the units you choose to study in the Health and Social care you can choose to care for teenagers, children and babies.

The Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 units are constructed to highlight the knowledge and experience needed for carers to provide affective care within their work duties. The main focal point of the NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social care is in providing physical and emotional care to clients, whether they are employed in the health or social care industry, or in the public, private or voluntary sectors. The Health and Social care NVQ Level 3 is planned to be applicable to candidates who will be delivering care.

This NVQ 3 in health and social care qualification can also reflect a higher level of specialisation depending on the units chosen when compared to the level 2.

The NVQ 3 in care units are made up of compulsory and optional units. You will need to complete a mixture of these in order to attain your level 3 NVQ qualification

What is in a Health and Social Care NVQ 3?
A Health and Social Care NVQ level 3 is constructed of 8 units. All candidates must complete all compulsory units, and choose an additional 4 units from the optional modules.

• NVQ in Care Level 3.32: Promote, monitor and maintain health, safety and security in the working environment
• NVQ in Care Level 3.33: Reflect on and develop your practice
• NVQ in Care Level 3.35: Promote choice, well -being and the protection of individuals

Who should take the Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3?
The Health and Social care NVQ Level 3 is aimed at Carers in a supervisory position or with a level of responsibility.

How long is Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 course?
The Majority of students will take anywhere between 3 and 9 months to complete the course.

How is the Health and Social Care NVQ Level 3 assessed?
As a candidate you will be assessed by a qualified NVQ assessor. You will be assessed your place of employment at a time that is suitable to you. Usually you will have an initial induction which will be followed by 4 additional assessments.
