IThe Health and Social Care NVQ Level 4 units are constructed to highlight the knowledge and experience needed for carers to provide affective care within their work duties. The main focal point of the NVQ Level 4 in Health and Social care is in management and providing emotional care to clients. Candidates who are undertaking the Health and Social care NVQ Level 4 are usually senior decision makers in their work roles.
The NVQ 4 in care units are made up of mandatory, optional and additional units. You will need to achieve a combination of these in order to achieve your 4 NVQ in care award.
What is in a Health and Social Care NVQ 4?
A Health and Social Care NVQ level 4 is constructed of 8 units. All candidates must complete all compulsory units, and choose an additional 4 units from the optional modules.

- NVQ in Care 4 45: Develop practises which promote choice, well being and protection of all individuals

NVQ 4 in care is aimed at Domiciliary Carers, Carers working within management and deputy management positions.
How long is Health and Social Care NVQ Level 4 course?
The Majority of students take between 12 and 15 months to complete the course.
How is the Health and Social Care NVQ Level 4 assessed?
As a candidate you will be assessed by a qualified NVQ assessor. You will be assessed your place of employment at a time that is suitable to you. Usually you will have an initial induction which will be followed by 4 additional assessments.
